Description
Description
Oil Shammy Roll is an environmentally friendly way to eliminate oil sheen without harsh chemicals.
When oil and fuel reach a body of water, they spread fast. Often, they create a large sheen rather than a small puddle. Oil sheens can be difficult to remove without the right tools. Absorbent spill pads and traditional, super-stuffed booms simply don’t absorb them. Chemical dispersants can be effective but can degrade water quality and affect aquatic life.
Oil Shammy Towels and Rolls float on water to capture oil sheens instantly. They can also be used with absorbent booms, containment booms and our Instant Underflow Dam to remove oil. When the sheen is captured, Oil Shammy Towels can also be used (and reused) for final cleanup of tools, equipment and PPE.
Oil Shammy Roll Benefits:
- Designed for oil-based cleanup.
- Captures oil sheens instantly.
- Floats on water to remove both bulk product and finer sheen.
- Can be wrung out and reused up to five times.
- Great for final detail and cleanup.
- Use with absorbent booms, containment booms and instant underflow dams.
