Traditional oil-only absorbent socks were not designed for leak or spill clean-up in the outdoors.

When it comes to cleaning up oil spills outdoors, traditional oil-only absorbent socks just don’t cut it. That’s why we worked with our customers to develop a better solution. We came up with absorbent strips that are: highly absorbent, designed for improved coverage and no leakage, durable and won’t degrade in the sun or when exposed to UV light, lightweight for easy deployment, quick and convenient for an efficient response time.

The problem with traditional oil-only socks:

• Do not work well when it is raining.
• Do not absorb much oil or fuel, especially in wet conditions.
• Are round, allowing oil to escape underneath when cleaning up land-based spills.
• Degrade and turn to powder when exposed to UV light.
• Bulky, heavy and take up too much space.
• Slow to deploy.
