My name is Donny Beaver. When I was a boy, my grandfather, Pappy Tom, taught me to always love and protect God’s great outdoors. Any time he saw me working in my grandmother’s garden or fishing gleefully at Tipton Run or Bald Eagle Creek, he’d smile and say, “I love to see a hale and hardy boy.”

Pappy Tom’s guidance – on environmental protection and on staying hale and hardy – stuck with me throughout the years. And today, HalenHardy^® is committed to protecting the environment. By 2013, my sons, Josh and Troy, along with my partner Carl Cohen, were struggling to name our latest venture. We were developing products and services that would disrupt spill control methods, offering vast improvements in environmental, health, and safety for heavy mobile industries.

WE WERE RACKING OUR BRAINS FOR A NAME, BUT NOTHING STUCK. UNTIL I REMEMBERED PAP’S SIGNATURE PHRASE.

One night, I scribbled “Hale ‘n Hardy” on a notepad and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I knew what to name our new company.
